In late 1960s Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a Taiwanese-American spy Chen Xi returns to Taiwan for a mission but has a deeply personal quest: to reconnect with the parents who had abandoned him. When his mission goes awry, he finds an unlikely ally Tan Kemeng, a secret police officer who is supposed to be his adversary. Together, they seek refuge in an abandoned mansion, only to discover it is already occupied by other defeated and fugitive operatives. Forced to coexist within the vast abandoned mansion, the seven individuals harbor their own secrets and suspicions, constantly trying to discern friend from foe. However, none dares to admit that each of them is plagued by mysterious and unsettling disturbances.
